This decides which rules apply. Rough answers are fine throughout — nothing you type leaves your browser.
Use gross sales: everything customers paid you, before platform fees, stock, postage or refunds. Don't include wages from a job — they don't count towards Making Tax Digital.
Rent you receive in your own name counts towards Making Tax Digital alongside your sales. Leave this at "No" if it doesn't apply.
Tick everywhere you sell. For each marketplace, tell us roughly how much you sell there in a calendar year — that decides whether it reports you to HMRC.
You must register for VAT once your sales over the last 12 months go over £90,000.
EU orders can bring extra VAT and customs rules. We'll flag them and point you to the official guidance.
